About Love & Literacy, LLC
Love & Literacy, LLC was founded by Nicole Nedved, a Speech-language Pathologist who has a huge passion for all things literacy. She currently works full-time in a school setting and has acknowledged the need for more ways to access high quality language and literacy intervention and thus, Love & Literacy, LLC was created.

the importance of literacy
Literacy skills (reading, writing, spelling) impact academic, emotional, and social development.
Strong literacy skills allow more opportunities both educationally and professionally.
"There are five critical components that help develop a strong reader: 1) phonemic awareness, 2) phonics, 3) fluency, 4) vocabulary, and 5) comprehension."
Research done in 1997 by the National Reading Panel found that learners have the highest chances of success when all five components are effectively taught (Source: Reading Horizons). Love & Literacy follows evidence based research and strives to hit all five critical components.
Services offered
Consultation (up to 30 minutes)
This is a free service offered to better understand your child's needs. Through conversation and interaction, you and Nicole will determine if an initial evaluation is a good fit for your child. Other resources may be discussed that are outside of private therapy, if applicable.
Evaluation (60-90 minutes)
This service includes a comprehensive evaluation consisting of interview, observation, and language & literacy testing with a standardized assessment. After the evaluation is complete, a formal written report will be created and explained to you and your family. We will collaborate and create the best individualized intervention plan to set your child up for success.
Treatment (45 minutes)
During this service, Nicole will work with your child on the goals that were identified during the evaluation process. Instuction for at home practice to incorporate newly learned skills will be given and critical for success. Practice makes perfect.
billing
These are private pay out of pocket services. Insurance is NOT billed.*
When agreeing to intervention and services, the price is honest, clear, and reasonable because insurance isn't dictating reimbursement rates.
Private pay services allow Nicole more time to interact and intervene with your child and less time documenting.
If evaluation indicates a need for services there is no delay due to need for referrals, unnecessary paperwork or phone calls to discuss insurance benefits.
*If you have out of network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance (usually around 60-80% per session). You will be responsible for paying for each session in full and a document, known as a "super-bill", will be provided to you at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance company.
